The first Test is to start from Wednesday itself, so Unadkat will not be able to play in it under any circumstances. According to BCCI sources, Unadkat’s visa has not yet been prepared. The source has made it clear that Unadkat will not be able to reach Bangladesh in time before the start of the first Test. Even if Unadkat’s visa issue is resolved, he will be able to reach Bangladesh only after the start of the first Test.
Cheteshwar Pujara will be the vice-captain of Team India
Cheteshwar Pujara has been made the vice-captain for the Test series against Bangladesh. Former Indian player Mohammad Kaif has expressed surprise over making Cheteshwar Pujara the vice-captain. He said that it is surprising that Pujara was made the vice-captain. Pant scored a century in the Test for the last time while being the vice-captain. The selectors are not treating the players properly. Significantly, in the first Test match, Abhimanyu Easwaran has been included in the team in place of Rohit Sharma. Apart from this, Saurabh Kumar, Navdeep Saini and Jaydev Unadkat of UP have got a chance in the team.
